On Its Way

The Alpha is on its way to Devon for a checkup. 'Left today at about 3PM. I guess it was homesick

Still Waiting - Alpha Repairs

So, the courier just phoned to arrange pickup tomorrow (not today).

They gave me an account number that I need to give (their?) driver. (I guess they can't do this?)

They also said they needed (from me) 3 copies of the commercial invoice.

Finally they need *me* to print out some customs form which they will email me *if* they get it from eigenlabs (otherwise they will cancel the pickup).

Sigh. I'm not thinking this is going to be either easy or expedient

Waiting to go home :(

Chance Meetings

There are some people who are immediately likeable. Ed Pilling is one of those folk. We met by chance this week and, by chance, started chatting about music.

Oh, yeah, I play guitar a bit, and sing says Ed. It's amazing what you pay for a blues harp these days. What'd'ya play he asks

An EWI says I and a new thing called an Eigenharp.

So, the next day at dinner I show him the Alpha and he is immediately energized by its potential.... 'we just gotta play that in the band'

huh...  what band?, well this one (with Ed singing)



So we had a few burgers and a couple of drinks to round out a great evening!

Eigenharp Alpha Arrives

Well, the Alpha arrived this afternoon.

First stop was to bring all the boxes into the main room. Of course the dogs had to check them out.

The first two boxes revealed the stand and the laptop bag with the base station, cables, software and guides

This left only (tada) the case with the beast itself inside.

Open it up, connect the cable to the (already running) software and here it is.

Happily at home in the cabin. We may not have running water, but we have DSL and a nice music studio!
